SERVICE Fees

Please note - every appointment involves 10-minutes of "non-face-to-face supports." This time is reserved for the speech pathologist to do all the 'behind the scenes work', such as case note writing and preparing for the next appointment. So for example, a 1 hour therapy session involves 50-minutes of therapy, and 10-minutes of non-face-to-face supports.
All fees will be discussed with you in advance - no sneaky surprises here!
for private-paying clients
Intake Appointment

Reports & Letters
0.5 hours to 3 hours
$105 to $630
The length of your letter / report will be discussed with you. The length varies according to your needs. For example, a letter to your GP would take 30 minutes ($105). A general assessment report would take 1.5 hours ($315). A comprehensive assessment report, containing the results of multiple tests, can take up to 3 hours to write ($630). Please allow 4 weeks for report writing.
Assessment Session

Includes:

​Assessment of your concerns. Assessments can be formal (standardised) or informal (observations of your child). ​

Assessment time varies due to a variety of reasons:

Some children need to break their assessment down into shorter appointments (e.g., 3 x 45-minute sessions). ​

Some children need regular breaks to support their attention.

Travel
$25
For travel, we charge a flat rate of $25 per appointment. Consistent with our hourly rate, this is equivalent to approximately 8 minutes of travel.
If you live outside our typical suburbs, an individualised travel quote can be arranged. Please note we are based in Labrador, Queensland 4215.
Therapy Session
1 hour
$210
Therapy sessions are mostly between the clinician and the child. In some cases (e.g., early intervention or stuttering therapy), parent involvement is very important. We will let you know how much we need you to participate in the therapy sessions.
Therapy sessions can take place at home, school, or daycare. You will need to seek permission from school/daycare if you would like sessions to occur there.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Regular attendance is important to get the best results from speech therapy.
We also rely on open and timely communication about any changes to appointments. To help, we’ll send you a reminder text 3 days before each session.
If your child’s speech pathologist can’t attend, we’ll let you know as early as possible.

Missed or cancelled appointments can make it harder to reach therapy goals and affect the care we provide to other families on our waitlist. Frequent cancellations also impact our ability to continue our business and the important work we do.

Because of this, we have a strict cancellation policy:
If you cancel with less than two (2) full days’ notice, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.

If you need to cancel at short notice and cannot attend in person, we offer other options to help maintain progress:

Telehealth

Resource development (e.g., visuals packet)

Home program with therapeutic activities

Parent-only meeting​

Thank you for planning ahead and letting us know at least two (2) days in advance if your child can’t attend.
OTHER FEES
We can see:

NDIS self-managed clients (fees are consistent with the private paying fee schedule as outlined above)

NDIS plan-managed clients (fees are consistent with the NDIS pricing guidelines, with an hourly rate of $193.99).

Travel fees:
As per NDIS pricing guidelines, travel is calculated at $16.17 per 10 mins.
So 30 mins of travel = 3 x $16.17 = $48.51.
Non-labour travel costs is calculated at 99c per kilometre. This is added to the above travel fee.
Medicare rebates:
Medicare rebates are available for valid Chronic Disease Management (CDM - previously known as Enhanced Primary Care) plan holders. This can be obtained from your GP. With a CDM/EPC plan, you receive a rebate of $60.34 per session (up to 5 sessions per year). You will be required to pay a gap fee as we are not a bulk-billed service.
